Azerion Netherlands appoints new leadership with extra focus on technology and products

Amsterdam, 29 October 2026 – Schiphol-Rijk
Willem-Albert Bol, Country Director of Azerion Netherlands since September 2025, is leaving the company and will hand over his role to Niels Rijerse. Niels Rijerse was previously active at Candid, including for mJourney and RLVNT, and recently joined Azerion. With the arrival of colleagues from mJourney and RLVNT, the Dutch team is strengthened in the areas of commerce, technology and products.
Under Willem-Albert Bol’s leadership, Azerion has made significant progress over the past year in both the Dutch advertising and publishing markets. Azerion has become more visible and relevant as a partner for advertisers, agencies and publishers.
Since 1 September, Azerion also operates mJourney and RLVNT, which has broadened its proposition. The next phase focuses on further developing the combination of sales, technology and products.
Sebastiaan Moesman, Azerion : “Willem-Albert Bol has strengthened the foundation ofAzerion in the Netherlands over the past year, and we are grateful to him for that. With Niels Rijerse on board, we will focus in particular on technology and new solutions. This will drive the next step forward.”
Willem-Albert Bol : “I am proud of what the team has achieved over the past year. We have become considerably stronger in a number of areas. With mJourney and RLVNT on board, a new phase begins for our omnichannel ambition, and Niels Rijerse is the driving force behind those solutions. It is therefore logical that he takes over the baton. Until 1 January, I will ensure a smooth handover.”
Niels Rijerse, Country Director Netherlands : “I am grateful to Willem-Albert Bol for what he has built. Azerion has a stronger position in the market, in both advertising and publishing, and has become more relevant to our partners with a broader mix of products and channels. I see great opportunities to realise our (international) omnichannel ambitions. We have all the solutions in-house to do so, and demand is growing. We will build on this ambition in the Netherlands first, and then in the other countries where Azerion is active.”
