The KNVB and Azerion Sports are launching a new app for the Azerion Women’s League. In the League App, fans can, among other things, follow live scores, buy tickets, vote for the woman of the match, predict the result and play games.

With the new app, the KNVB and Azerion want to make the league even more accessible and increase interaction with fans.

“We want to be there for the fans physically, but also digitally,” said Dave Dekker, director of commerce at the KNVB. “This app is the place where you can find everything about the league in one place and with which the Azerion Women’s League is always close by. We are also able to get to know fans better, become more relevant to them and create added value. The new app is a great example of the cooperation between Azerion and the KNVB.”

“Looking towards the future, this app is an important step to further grow the Azerion Women’s League. It allows us to interact with our fans around matches and beyond,” said Lucienne Reichardt, KNVB women’s soccer manager. “The Azerion Women’s League appeals to a young target group and a mobile app fits perfectly with that.”

Azerion Sports, developer of the app, focuses on increasing the engagement of fans with clubs. “This is another step to put women’s soccer further on the map and professionalise it,” said Robbert Oomens, product director of Azerion Sports. “We are investing in the future of women’s soccer, important in this is a strong digital component. We are very pleased with the launch of the Azerion Women’s League app, which ensures that from now on you can closely follow the league, your club and favourite players.”
